לפני שנה, החלה ציפי שוחט להוציא ימי ריפוי לשורדי השבי: ריטריטים של "שבים מדברים עם שבים", ביער הסודי בקפריסין. ציפי הצליחה לגייס תרומות, לאסוף מטפלים, לתאם את כל ההפקה בהתנדבות — והוציאה כבר שלושה מסעות מרפאים לשורדי שבי.
A year ago, Tzipi Shochat began taking hostage survivors on healing days: "Survivors Speaking with Survivors" retreats in the Secret Forest in Cyprus — organizing three healing journeys entirely on a volunteer basis.
למרות לחצים כבדים מהתקשורת, ציפי שמרה את פרטי הריטריטים בסודיות מלאה — משום שפרטיותם, ביטחונם, ותחושת הרוגע האישית של השורדים הם עבורה מעל הכל.
Despite heavy media pressure, Tzipi kept all retreat details in complete secrecy — because the privacy, safety, and personal calm of the survivors come above everything.
לדברי השורדים, החוויות שם היו משנות חיים: שורדים שיושבים ביחד כל לילה כמעט עד הבוקר, משתפים חוויות מהמנהרות — אימה, בדידות, אבל גם תקווה. שומעים, מחבקים, בוכים יחד, צוחקים יחד.
According to survivors, the experiences were life-changing: sitting together every night until morning, sharing stories from the tunnels — terror, loneliness, but also hope. Listening, embracing, crying and laughing together.
( ציפי ארגנה להם קומיקאי ישראלי שיבוא לשמוע אותם ואחר כך יעשה מזה מופע — החבורה זכתה לצחוק מרפא מהשבי, ואפילו ביקשו עוד! ) ( Tzipi arranged an Israeli comedian to hear their stories and create a show from it — the group got healing laughter from captivity, and asked for more! )בזכות ציפי, 70 שורדי שבי קיבלו הזדמנות לצאת מהארץ — למקום שקט ומרפא, מוקפים באנשים שמבינים אותם. השורדים אומרים שחמשת ימי הריטריט שווים יותר מכל טיפול: "שבים מדברים עם שבים".
Thanks to Tzipi, 70 survivors got the chance to leave the country for a quiet, healing place surrounded by people who understand them. Survivors say those five retreat days are worth more than any therapy: "Survivors speaking with survivors."
אבל לאחר שלושה ריטריטים, אזלו המשאבים — כשבמקביל פונים לציפי שורדים שלא הספיקו, שורדים שזקוקים לעוד, ואפילו משפחות של ילדים שורדי שבי שביקשו מרחב מרפא לילדיהם. ציפי לא יכולה להגיד לא, ופונה עכשיו אל עם ישראל לאפשר שני ריטריטים נוספים:
האחד — ריטריט לבוגרים שורדי שבי יחד עם הוריהם.
השני — ריטריט לשורדי השבי שטרם השתתפו.
After three retreats, resources ran out — while survivors who didn't get to attend, those who need another round, and families of child hostage survivors all turn to Tzipi. She cannot say no, and is now turning to the Jewish people to enable two more retreats:
First — adult survivors together with their parents.
Second — adult survivors who haven't yet participated.
